4 wines are served with small plate to accompany the experience. You should dedicate about an hour for tasting in this vineyard. We arrived 10 minutes late and were welcome by Derek, who made a point that we were late it wasn't cool! His attitude improved later on, but the first impression remained. Our tasting was scheduled at the end of the day - 4 pm. The wine tasting can be arranged in advance, and happens at one of the picnic tables outside of the winery on the top of the hill overlooking the valley! Amazing views and really worth doing. This is a relatively new and small winery. I wish I could give 5 stars to Scribe Winery! The location is amazing and my friends and I really enjoyed our experience. I found the entire experience to be a great treat and felt that this was one of high points of our visit to San Francisco. The wines were served with a selection of cheeses and nuts and our host made sure to give detailed explanations of each of the wines making this both a pleasurable drinking and educational experience. While my daughter had managed to get a last minute appointment (she called while we were driving there), I'd advise you to make an appointment in advance to make sure that you will be able to check this place out, but try to go on a sunny day.

However, don't just come here for the view! The staff that greeted and served us the selection of three white as well as two red wines were helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. Their fields are situated on a lovely hill overlooking the valley and for the setting alone on a beautiful day, this place is worth a drive. My daughter who recently moved to San Francisco, took us on a drive to the Scribe winery in Sonoma County.
